Indra asks to see Clarke’s full portfolio. There has been some buzz after her sale in September. Patrons are interested in seeing more, and Indra wants to see if there might be enough for an exhibit of her own. 

Clarke tears through every piece she has stockpiled in her apartment. From paintings, to sketches, to photography, she looks for her best pieces. She shoves her living room furniture to the side and spreads everything out of the floor. Once every square inch of the floor is covered, she brings a stool over to look at everything all at once. 

There are some landscapes she’s sorta proud of, but there’s more meaning in a portrait so she focuses her efforts there. She loves the photos printed on canvas– the galaxy on the model’s back is vibrant and the mystery of the model’s face is intriguing. She scans the rest of the artwork and sees a similar jawline in another sketch. 

Long fingers in a sketch from July match those placed over a breast in a painting from September. The eyes from a coffee shop sketch are the exact same color as in a photograph from October. What? Clarke wonders to herself.
